The Gjovik v Apple hearing earlier this week was very traumatic. Apple got the court's explicit okay to harass me to extent I might off myself & the court said it was misconduct by me to complain. I was shellshocked for a few days, but I'm ok now, I think because I always knew Apple was this evil.
It was like a very traumatic and disturbing confirmation of a preexisting theory.

I'm beginning to understand why there are so few blogging platforms that work with #activitypub. I thought I'd make my own as a weekend project and while it shows up fine in https://browser.pub/, getting #mastodon to correctly display posts and followers is driving me absolutely crazy.

Am 28.03.2025 hat die #GEMA angekündigt, kollektive Lizenzen auch für Musik von Nicht-Mitgliedern vergeben zu wollen. Das betrifft z.B. auch die Aufführungsrechte (Cover) oder die Nutzungsrechte für das Training von KI-Modellen.
Es sind noch drei Tage Zeit, um vorab zu widersprechen (danach nur für die Zukunft). Die gesetzliche Grundlage gibt es seit 2021, hattet ihr das auf dem Schirm? 😮
I learned something today: Google's Gemini "AI" on phones accesses your data from "Phones, Messages, WhatsApp" and other stuff whether you have Gemini turned on or not. It just keeps the data longer if you turn it on. Oh, and lets it be reviewed by humans (!) for Google's advantage in training "AI" etc.
But this only came to my attention because of an upcoming change: it's going to start keeping your data long-term even if you turn it "off": "#Gemini will soon be able to help you use Phone, #Messages, #WhatsApp, and Utilities on your phone, whether your Gemini Apps Activity is on or off."
This is, of course, a #privacy and #security #nightmare.
If this is baked into Android, and therefore not removable, I'd have to say I'd recommend against using Android at all starting July 7th.
