Watching my friend who is fluent in Japanese play ffxiv in that language only to randomly go "What even IS this kanji, I've never seen this in my entire life. Fucking Urianger" is a highlight

@mr_daemon i guess that's how they keep urianger's antiquated vocabulary consistent along languages? would be interesting to see what they do with say french or german

@gatrnerd According to my friend he lays it on MUCH less thick in japanese, but if there's a super specific or ancient kanji to be deployed tactically, he'll absolutely be the one to do it lol
